SUMMER HOUSE

This project enhanced a sensitive Grade 2 listed late 18th century dower house by dismantling early 20th c. additions of varying quality so as to create an improved configuration. For the sake of continuity of character – and a very tight budget – the fabric of this summer house and service space was devised using almost entirely recycled materials, most of them from the site itself (excluding new concrete foundations, metal fixings, mortar, electrics and sanitary ware).
